Jerry Bradley Hux
Jerry Bradley Hux 57, of Roanoke Rapids, died Friday April 20, 2018.
Jerry a native of Halifax County was the son of the late William Bradley "W.B." and Rachel Keeter Hux.
He graduated from Roanoke Rapids class of 1980. He worked most of his life with the family business of Rufus B. Hux and Son General Contractors. He was a life-long member of the Roanoke Valley Rescue squad. He was also involved with several fire and rescue departments in Halifax and Northampton Counties.
Jerry is survived by his sister, Robin Hux Isles and her husband, David of Roanoke Rapids, his nephews, Jordan, Sammy and Matt Isles all of Roanoke Rapids; his uncles, Ronald Luke Keeter and his wife, Mary of Aurelian Springs and Tommy Keeter and his wife, Polly of Gasburg, Va., his aunts, Katherine K. Lee and her husband, Glen and Linda K. Wrenn both of Roanoke Rapids, Joan Webster and her husband Alvis of Graham; several cousins, good friends, Wesley Porch of Roanoke Rapids, Paul Nowell of Weldon and his loving family at Signature health care in Roanoke Rapids.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday April 24, 2018 at 2 P.M. at South Rosemary Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Joyner and Rev. Barry Gardner officiating.
Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7-8:30 at Askew Funeral and Cremation Services, 731 Roanoke Ave Roanoke Rapids.
In lieu of flowers the family has ask that donations be made to a local volunteer fire or rescue organization of your choice in honor of Jerry.
